This world class athlete is indeed a profile in courage.
The World Surf League recently announced a new policy that would allow for biological males (competing as females) to compete against biological women at the highest level of professional surfing. Hamilton recently spoke out against the new policy and should be commended for her bravery. Here is a woman who has competed as a professional woman’s surfer for the past 15 years. Her point of view is her own, so she speaks her mind against what she perceives to be an injustice. Literally every previous generation understood the difference between men and women and they in turn structured their society to prosper.
Yet somehow THIS generation has it figured out correctly. The arrogance to actually believe that you and those of your ilk are more enlightened than every previous generation before you is almost too hard to comprehend. These people and the destructive policies they endorse are relentless in their pursuit to kill the fabric of this country via a thousand slices. Hamilton wonders how many of her peers are too afraid to speak out for fear of reprisals from Leftist, a sycophant media, a Woke corporate America and the full force and power of the US government which are all aligned in lockstep.
I worry about the fortitude of the current generation and their ability to foster the courage required to push back against an enemy who wants nothing more than their submission. Sadly, they can watch someone make an outrageous and illogical statement and be frozen regarding what sort of decision they need to make. The amount of detritus and flat-out falsehoods that are foisted at us 24 hours a day can be brutal to endure. If your bearings and morals aren’t grounded properly your chances of successfully maneuvering through the minefield of life diminishes dramatically.
Common sense seems in rather short supply in this country at the moment. Courage is also in rather short supply. This country at this very moment needs courageous individuals like Hamilton to lead the way.
Hamilton also announced, “I personally won’t be competing in or supporting the World Surf League if this rule remains.”
Nothing about this entire movement seems organic.
She also asked, “Who is pushing for this huge change? Does this better the sport of surfing? Is this better for the women in surfing? If so, how?”
