I like Birds

I can’t look at the rocket launch
The trophy wives of the astronauts
And I won’t listen to their words
‘Cause I like
Birds

I don’t care for walkin’ down town
Crazy auto car gonna mow me down
Look at all the people like cows in a herd
Well I like
Birds

If you’re small
And on a search
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on

I can’t stand in line at the store
The mean little people are such a bore
But it’s all right if you act like a turd
‘Cause I like
Birds

If you’re small
And on a search
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on

If you’re small
And on a search
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on
If you’re small
And on a search
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on
I’ve got a feeder for you to perch on

Yellow Bellied Sapsucker

In July 2004 I purchased a National Geographic Birders Journal. The book goes with me on weekend getaways, family vacations, camping trips, etc. Every birder is different. Some track just songbirds. Some start their annual list over each year and try to improve on their numbers every year. My particular thing is documenting my life list. I have no hopes or desires to try and catch world record holder Tom Gullick who has documented over 9000 birds on his list. I’m content just plodding along and marking down what I see as I go. My Lumix FZ300 will only help me in my endeavors.

Today, on a short walk to Braddocks Trail Park in North Huntingdon, PA I saw a Brown Creeper and a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker, neither of which I’ve documented prior to today. It was a nice day. I like birds.
